Jay-Z to Sell Brooklyn Nets????

#TaniaOnTheScene - Headlines indicating “Jay-Z sell Nets” have hit the internet on Tuesday, April 9, as the rapper and business mogul will apparently eliminate his stake in the Brooklyn Nets. The word is the hip hop star is looking to become more of a sports agent, especially after his recent move to align baseball star Robinson Cano of the Yankees with his label Roc Nation.

The website BallOverall.com reported on April 9 that “it appears Mr. Carter will be relinquishing his minority ownership of the nets in order to focus on signing players to his sports agency.” Apparently, Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, will dissolve his ownership in the Nets which currently amounts to less than 1 percent. The rumor is that Jay will try to become a certified NBA agent in time for the 2013 NBA Draft, which takes place in June.

The Boombox Exhibition

image

#TaniaOnTheSceneMusic is defined as; an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. The concept of the BoomBox Exhibition; presented by House of Art Gallery, is to demonstrate the
influence of the boombox through various facets from the 70’s-mid 80’s; such as fashion, music and politics. The Boombox was an intrinsic part of incubating so much sonic New York history, in pulling together this study we’ll see, live and embrace a device that was
part of the fabric of the city.

if you log on to House of Art Gallery’s Youtube page ( http://www.youtube.com/user/nychouseofart ) you will see people sharing their  “Boombox Memory”. I’m sure we all have a fun, memorable story to tell, if not a story, maybe an old picture to share, or some sort of memorabilia that reminds you of the boombox.

It’s very simple to join in on the fun. Just grab your phone or camera and tell a brief story; ” My Boombox Memory”. Upload on YouTube, and share on your social media page. Tag @JmaeCadet or House of Art Gallery (@hoagallery) and mention Boombox Exhibition.

New York City Imposes "Odd, Even" Gas Rationing at 6 a.m. Friday to Cope With Long Lines at Pump

Today on TaniaOnTheScene.com - Here are all the details you will need to know about the gas rationing that is set to begin at 6am this morning.

New York City is moving to “odd, even” gas rationing at 6 a.m. Friday to help reduce long gas lines, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announce.

Divers whose license plates end in an even number or zero will be able to buy gas only on even-numbered days, the mayor announced. If your plate ends in a letter, another character or, of course, an odd number, you can pump on odd-numbered days. Commercial vehicles, emergency vehicles, buses and paratransit vehicles, MD plates and vehicles licensed by the TLC are exempt. MORE DETAILS HERE.
