Paul McCartney plays surprise concert in New York’s Times Square
#TaniaOnTheScene - Paul McCartney continued his guerilla concert dates Thursday, turning up to play a terse set before a surprised lunch time crowd in Times Square.
The four song showcase arrived just one day after the ex-Beatle played a full 13 song set - and conducted a “master class” Q&A session- with students gathered in the auditorium of the Frank Sinatra High School in Astoria, Queens.
The legendary Beatle performed four songs from his new album - appropriately titled, ‘New.’
Britney Spears Cracks The Whip In Her New S&M-Inspired Video
#TaniaOnTheScene -The singer released the video for her latest single through Vevo on yesterday (Oct. 1st). Be warned, it’s pretty NSFW.
'Work Bitch,' the latest single from pop's returning princess Britney Spears, finally had it's music video premiered after weeks of waiting last night. In the vid, we see Britney back to her old ways of incorporating a heavy, dance-orientated theme, that is also meant to cause a stir from the viewers.
New iPhones: C doesn’t stand for ‘Cheap’
#TaniaOnTheScene - You wanted new iPhones and you got them. But if anything, the most surprising thing about Apple’s big Tuesday reveal was just how little it managed to keep secret from the tech media ahead of the event.
As predicted, Cupertino unveiled not one but two new iPhone models – a first – and just like everyone thought, they are named the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S.
The iPhone 5S is Apple’s new flagship model. In fact, Apple marketing head Phil Schiller described it as “the most forward-thinking phone we’ve ever created.” That might be a bit of an overstatement in our estimation, but it is a significant upgrade.
The iPhone 5C is less groundbreaking, in more than one sense. It replaces the iPhone 5 in Apple’s handset roster and it cleaves pretty closely to that phone’s feature set – except that it’s made of plastic and it comes in multiple colors, which we also expected. On the downside, however, it’s hardly the rock-bottom-priced, entry-level phone that many were predicting, which could hurt Apple’s growth in the all-important developing markets. But let’s dive into the specs first.

Beyonce’s ‘Grown Woman’
#TaniaOnTheScene - The full version of the new Beyonce track ‘Grown Woman’ has finally appeared online.
A snippet of the track debuted in an advert for Pepsi unveiled during the half-time show of this year’s Super Bowl in April.
Beyoncé has unveiled a raft of new song snippets in 2013, including ‘Standing In The Sun’, which features in a television commercial for high street retailers H&M, and ‘Rise Up’, which featured in the trailer for the Disney film Epic. Last month, her cover of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’, which she recorded with OutKast’s Andre 3000 for the official soundtrack for The Great Gatsby, attracted fierce criticism from Winehouse’s father Mitch, who claimed that Beyoncé brought “nothing” to the song and described Andre 3000’s contribution to the cover as “terrible”. Beyoncé has been performing the full version of ‘Standing In The Sun’ on her ongoing Mrs Carter World Tour, though a full album, widely expected to be released before the run of shows, did not appear.
