Iconic film star Lauren Bacall dead at 89

#TaniaOnTheScene — Actress Lauren Bacall, best known for her distinctive husky voice and sultry sensuality, died Tuesday, a spokesman for the family said. She was 89.

Robbert de Klerk, co-managing partner of the Humphrey Bogart Estate, said Bacall died in New York City.

Bacall shot to international fame in 1944 with her first film, “To Have and Have Not,” which she made with future husband Humphrey Bogart.

They married in 1945, had two children and went on to make four more films together. Bogart died in 1957.

“He was an extraordinary, extraordinary man. I mean, I’ve been extremely lucky. God, I have no complaints at all,” Bacall said during a 2005 interview with CNN’s Larry King.

Shia LaBeouf arrested in movie theater

#TaniaOnTheScene - Police say actor Shia LaBeouf has been taken out of a New York City theater for being disorderly and causing a disruption.

It happened Thursday night at Studio 54 in Manhattan during a performance of the Broadway show “Cabaret.”

According to a police source, LaBeouf was drunk and acting erratic during the performance. He was also smoking a cigarette inside the theater.

A spokesman for the show says LaBeouf was “disruptive during act one” and was escorted out of the theater at intermission.
