Blake Shelton and Usher Perform ‘Home’ for Oklahoma Benefit Concert
#TaniaOnTheScene- Blake Shelton and Usher’s friendship might have just gone a notch higher after the “OMG” singer brought in much-needed support for his fellow mentor on the hit TV show “The Voice”. Usher lent his talent and star power for Shelton’s “Healing in the Heartland” benefit concert at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on Wednesday night, May 29 to help raise funds for the victims of the tornado that hit the neighboring city of Moore, Oklahoma two weeks ago.
Shelton and Usher teamed up to cover Michael Buble's hit song “Home”, with the country crooner kicking off their joint performance sitting on a stool onstage as he played an acoustic guitar. As Usher walked in for the next verse, the crowd cheered, and after he sat on the other stool beside his duet partner as they joined for the hook, Shelton asked the audience, “Is there anybody in the world cooler than Usher?”
#TaniaOnTheScene - The incident took place during the section of Beyonce’s latest stage show where she performs on a second, smaller stage and interacts with fans. Singing ‘Irreplaceable’, Beyonce walks up to her audience and hands them the microphone to sing the “to the left” line of the song. However, as she walked away from one fan he slapped her on the bottom. Taking the playful move in jest, Beyonce joked “I’ll have you escorted out for that.” The man is not believed to have been asked to leave the show.
The Copenhagen gig, which took place at The Forum, was part of Beyonce’s current tour ahead of the release of her latest studio album. Few details are known about the album, however a new track titled 'Grown Woman' has finally appeared online after a snippet of the track debuted in an advert for Pepsi unveiled during the half-time show of this year’s Super Bowl in April.
#TaniaOnTheScene - I’m sure you’ve seen all seen at least ONE picture of the grumpy cat. The quirky one-liners have swept the interweb.
The interactive portion of the annual 10-day South by Southwest festival in Austin is starting to wind down, and while the latest in 3D printing has been on display, along with some well-attended talks by tech innovators, there’s been little talk of game changers.
It appears the biggest star to emerge from the festival is Grumpy cat — the photo meme feline that replies to mundane statements with cranky one-liners. The cat with an adorably bad attitude was touted the star of the show by several news outlets, and has proven to be a major draw at Mashable’s camp at SXSW.
Mike Check is not just his stage name, it’s his real name. Picking up the drum sticks at the early age of 7, Check was drawn to the hip-hop sound and culture. Several years later, the songwriter performs with conviction on the stage.
Check out snippets from his performance at Webster Hall on November 18, 2012:
Born in Oakland California, Klairkia developed a love for music and entertaining at a very young age. Klairkia’s natural prowess for articulation and imitation was so apparent that at age 3, her Sunday school teacher assigned Klairkia a solo speaking part during a religious celebratory performance. Wanting to nurture her daughter’s natural talent, Klairkia’s mother enrolled her as a student in the local community “Mousercise” program where she was awarded a solo dance number during her first recital because it was “a joy to have a student who actually listens” stated her instructor.
Klairkia is currently in the studio working on her solo project with producers Divine Young and Bam Bam The Influence. With her incredible voice backed by amazing tracks Klairkia challenges her talents with the objective to entertain her audience by differentiating herself from other artist by appealing to the masses. Through creating records from a variety of genres you can expect to hear everything from Klairkia; pop, r&b, dance and everything in between. Stay tuned for new music and upcoming performances from this future star in the making!
